Change

     Dear Readers,

I wanted to make my blog more interesting and easier to navigate around. I hope that you like my changes, and thank you for viewing my blog.

New World

The Original thirteen Colonies are known as "The New World because Europeans thought it was new land that they discovered. The thirteen Colonies are  known as:
Massachusetts Bay
New Hampshire
Rhode Island
Connecticut
New York
New Jersey
Pennsylvania
Delaware
Maryland
Virginia
North Carolina
South Carolina
Georgia
These states were all part of the thirteen original colonies. Europeans came form Europe after Christopher Columbus found the land. They were interested because there was fresh supplies and new people. They also came for wealth and to escape religious persecution. They wanted more space for themselves because Europe was getting crowded. Most came for a better chance at life. They built Colonies to stay and the population there got bigger and bigger.
The Colonies were classified into three groups based on location. The groups were Southern, Middle, and New England. They all focused on a few Economics they worked on.

The thirteen colonies are important to us today because it was what started the U.S.A that we now know today. The thirteen colonies are now represented on the U.S flag as the 13 red and white stripes.
